The history of Heikkinen OÜ
Heikkinen OÜ is an Estonian company founded in 2011 by a father and son duo. We specialize in production of premium Ecoslider greenhouses and Premifarm vertical farms for year-round cultivation of greens.
Co-founder Alexey Farber recalls:
«My father was a well-known inventor. He dedicated his entire life to the Kreenholm textile manufacturing company, where he implemented numerous innovations and worked for over 50 years. After retiring, he wanted to install a greenhouse on his country property. We searched extensively for a solution that met his high technical standards but couldn’t find anything suitable. That’s when we decided to build our own greenhouse.
Thanks to his experience and knowledge, our first greenhouse exceeded all expectations. We realized we could create high-quality, reliable greenhouses that would be in demand. Our family invested all our efforts and resources to start the greenhouse production: we purchased the necessary equipment, rented a production facility, and began developing the business. Thus, the story of Ecoslider greenhouses began.
The original idea and potential of our first greenhouse, designed back in 2009, still allow Ecoslider greenhouses to remain among the most sought-after».
Key milestones:
- 2009: The first greenhouse made of metal and polycarbonate was developed.
- 2011: Heikkinen OÜ was registered, and production of Ecoslider polycarbonate greenhouses began.
- 2013: Patent obtained for the modular frame technology with metal trusses, ensuring exceptional structural strength.
- 2016: Began developing a network of partners and representatives abroad.
- 2019: Active export of greenhouses to Europe and North America.
- 2020: Initiated the development of Premifarm vertical farms for year-round cultivation of greens and vegetables in a controlled environment.
- 2022: Launched production and sales of Premifarm vertical farms equipped with aeroponic systems.
- 2023: Launch of the House Lux premium greenhouse series, packaged in cardboard boxes — designed for e-commerce and dropshipping partnerships.
- 2024: Start of production for Ecoslider House Lux Glass greenhouses with tempered glass.
- 2025: Expansion of the premium greenhouse line, including the launch of the Ecoslider Arbovista — crafted from thermally treated wood and tempered glass.

Our mission is to grow together with you — helping to cultivate eco-friendly harvests for your family and loved ones.
Notably, our founder Alexey Farber has been a vegetarian since 2007. For him and his family, having a greenhouse and growing their own food isn’t just a hobby — it’s a way of life.

For Estonian residents, we offer additional services:

We also offer a greenhouse configurator on our website, where customers can customize their greenhouse and place an order directly through our online store.
Once the order is placed, it is processed by our manager, forwarded to the warehouse, and the greenhouse is assembled according to the selected specifications.
Export market
The company has long expanded beyond the Estonian market. Ecoslider greenhouses are sold in Europe, Scandinavia, and North America. Our team is actively working to expand our sales geography.
