Company History
Heikkinen OÜ is an Estonian company founded in 2011 by a father and son. Today we specialize in metal processing, manufacturing premium-level Ecoslider greenhouses, and Premifarm vertical farms for year-round cultivation of greens.
Recalls Alexey Farber — co-founder, board member of Heikkinen OÜ:
“My father was a renowned inventor. He dedicated his entire life to the Kreenholm textile mill, where he implemented many of his inventions and worked for over 50 years. When he retired, he wanted to install a greenhouse on his country plot. We searched stores for a suitable solution that would meet my father’s technical requirements, but found nothing. Then we decided to build a greenhouse ourselves.
My father’s education and skills helped design exactly what he envisioned. When our family realized that we were good at it and there was demand, we bought equipment and rented a production facility. That’s how the story of Ecoslider greenhouses began.
The idea and potential of the first greenhouse, developed back in 2009, still allow Ecoslider greenhouses to remain among the most in-demand on the markets we serve.”

- Since 2019, Heikkinen OÜ has been exporting its greenhouses to European countries and North America.
- In 2020, the development of Premifarm vertical farms for greens began, along with experiments in growing various types of herbs, microgreens, flowers, and vegetables in these farms.
- In 2022, production and sales of Premifarm vertical farms were launched — highly automated aeroponic equipment for efficient year-round indoor cultivation of diverse greens.

In 2023, Ecoslider greenhouses were being sold in 11 countries; a representative office was opened in the USA (Florida).
A new gable roof greenhouse model Ecoslider House Lux and arched model Slider L were developed and launched — both released in fully disassembled form and compact packaging for convenient drop shipping. This significantly simplifies delivery to partners and end customers worldwide. - At the beginning of 2024, the glass greenhouse successfully passed testing. The company is now manufacturing glass greenhouses.
- Since 2025, we produce Arbovista wooden greenhouses made of thermowood and tempered glass.
Production, Installation, and Delivery
The company’s production is located in Estonia, 2 km from Tallinn, and occupies an area of 1000 sq.m. High-quality materials, verified suppliers, high-tech equipment, and a team of specialists ensure year-round production of greenhouses and farms.
Depending on the season, the company employs up to 25 staff members. These include engineers, technologists, metal and plastic specialists, assemblers, packers, managers, and marketers.
Established systems for production, packaging, and shipping of Ecoslider greenhouses allow us to supply high-quality products to the Estonian and international markets. Cooperation with logistics companies enables us to deliver greenhouses promptly to any country in the world.
Product range and Quality
We offer premium products at competitive prices. A wide selection of greenhouse sizes, glazing, and configurations:
- Steel frame with anti-corrosion coating or structure made of thermowood.
- Glazing: cellular polycarbonate 6mm – 16mm thick, monolithic polycarbonate 4mm, or tempered glass 4mm.
- You can enhance your greenhouse with accessories (ventilation windows, garden beds, shelves, tools, etc.) that make using it even more convenient and enjoyable

Vertical Farms
- Three types of farms available: Premifarm Pro, Premifarm Basic, and Premifarm Mini. Offered for installation in private homes, educational institutions, restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, etc.
- The quality of the greenhouses is a key strength of our production. A strong, reinforced, galvanized metal frame, high-quality polycarbonate, and easy assembly of large factory-preassembled parts allow us to offer a product that is easy to install and will last about 20 years.
