Requirements for the Greenhouse Installation Site

General Requirements for Customers to Consider Before the Installers Arrive:

  • The installation site must have level and compacted ground around the perimeter or a foundation leveled to the required standard.
  • The distance from the installation site to the nearest object (house, fence, tree, etc.) must be at least 1.5 meters.
  • Any existing greenhouse must be dismantled beforehand (or you can order an additional service for dismantling the old greenhouse).
  • The installation area must be free of plants that could interfere with the assembly process.
  • There must be no animals present on the site during the installation.
  • The site must have access to electricity; if this is unavailable, please notify us in advance.

Post-Assembly Recommendation:

Immediately after assembly, it is strongly recommended to cover the perimeter of the greenhouse with soil. This eliminates any gaps between the foundation and the frame, preventing strong winds from penetrating under the greenhouse. If the greenhouse is tightly secured to the ground with no gaps, even strong winds will not be able to damage the structure.

Requirements for Installing a Glass Greenhouse with a Wooden or Metal Frame

A glass greenhouse must only be installed on a flat concrete foundation.

Reasons:

  • Tempered glass, unlike cellular or solid polycarbonate, lacks flexibility and cannot adapt to changes in the structure's geometry. Even minor ground settling, grass coverings, or gravel foundations can lead to slight frame distortions. While such deformations are not critical for flexible polycarbonate, they can create stress in glass, potentially resulting in cracks or panel failure over time.
  • Another key factor is the weight of the glass greenhouse. Glass is significantly heavier than polycarbonate, increasing the load on the foundation. Without a sturdy concrete base, soft soil or gravel cannot support such weight, increasing the likelihood of settling and structural misalignment.

Work We Do Not Perform Without Prior Agreement

  • Groundwork.
  • Moving heavy items from the assembly site.
  • Dismantling or relocating old greenhouses.
  • Making structural changes to the greenhouse during installation.

We respect and understand our customers’ needs. If any of the above requirements cannot be met, please notify your manager in advance, and we will work together to find a suitable solution.
