About us

Heikkinen OÜ is an Estonian company founded in 2011 by father and son. Today we specialize in metal processing, the production of premium Ecoslider greenhouses and Premifarm vertical farms for the year-round cultivation of greenery.

Aleksey Farber, co-founder, the member of the board of Heikkinen OÜ, recalls: 

“My father was a famous inventor. He devoted his whole life to the textile manufacturing company Kreenholm, where he introduced many of his inventions and worked for more than 50 years. When he retired, he wanted to install a greenhouse in his suburban area. For a long time we searched for a suitable solution that would meet the technical requirements of my father, but we could not find it. Then we decided to make a greenhouse on our own. My father's education and skills helped construct exactly what he had in mind. When our family realized that we were doing well and there was a demand, we bought equipment and rented a production facility. Thus began the history of Ecoslider greenhouses. The idea and potential of the first greenhouse, developed back in 2009, still allows Ecoslider greenhouses to be among the most popular in the presented markets.”

In 2013 we developed and patented the manufacturing technology of prefabricated greenhouse frames using metal trusses that consequently lead to the production of a highly durable greenhouse structure.

Since 2016, Heikkinen OÜ has been supplying polycarbonate to Estonia.

Since 2019, Heikkinen OÜ has been actively exporting its greenhouses to Europe and North America.

In 2020, we began to develop PremiFarm Vertical Farms for growing greens and started experimenting with growing various types of herbs, microgreens, edible flowers and vegetables in these farms.

In 2022, we launched the production and sale of Premifarm vertical farms - highly automated aeroponic equipment for the efficient indoor cultivation of a variety of greens all year round.

Production, installation, and delivery

The company's production is located in Estonia, about 2 km from Tallinn, and covers an area of ​​1000 sq.m. The quality materials used by the company,  proven suppliers, high-tech equipment and a team of specialists altogether ensure the production of greenhouses and farms all year round.

Depending on the season, the company employs up to 25 employees. These are engineers, technologists, metal and plastic specialists, assemblers, order pickers, managers and marketers.

Our established process of production, assembly and shipment of Ecoslider greenhouses allow us to provide the Estonian and foreign markets with quality products. Cooperation with logistics companies makes it possible to deliver our greenhouses to any country in the world.

Greenhouses for hobby growers

Arched greenhouses Ecoslider ES range from 1.5 m to 4 m wide. Gable roof greenhouses Ecoslider EH range from 2 m - 4 m wide. Mini greenhouses for seedlings. Length - at the request of the buyer. Thickness of polycarbonate: 6 - 10 mm.

  

Industrial greenhouses

Arched and gable roof greenhouses for farmers and business needs. Available width: 5m, 6m and 7m. Length - any. Thickness of polycarbonate: from 6 mm to 20 mm.

Vertical farms

Vertical farms or "smart greenhouses" for homes or restaurants to grow greens using aeroponics technology. There are 3 types of equipment available: Premifarm 1, Premifarm 2 and mini Premifarm. It is intended for installation in private houses, educational institutions, restaurants, hotels, medical institutions, etc.

Quality

A wide range of greenhouse sizes, covers and configurations:

• The frame of the greenhouse consists of trusses with internal weaving and reinforcement. This allows to evenly distribute a vertical load up to 700 kg/m2. Thus, it is not necessary to remove snow from the roof of the greenhouse.
• The storm-proof doors are designed to protect the greenhouse from destruction by stormy winds.
• The anti-corrosion coating of steel profiles consists of zinc - 275 gr/ m2, which is rare in the greenhouse market.
• Most greenhouses on the market are covered by 4mm or 6mm polycarbonate. We offer more reliable solutions in terms of greenhouse strength - 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 16mm.

Warranty

The quality of greenhouses is the strong side of our company. The durable, reinforced, galvanized metal frame of the greenhouse, high-quality polycarbonate and easy assembly of large parts pre-assembled at the factory, enable us to offer a customer the product that is very easy to install and that will serve for more than 20 years.

Our Manufacturer warranty:

• 10 years for the metal structure of the greenhouse and polycarbonate.

• 2 years for the whole structure of the greenhouse (moving parts).

Distribution of Ecoslider and Premifarm brands products

Despite the fact that Heikkinen OÜ is an entirely Estonian company, providing the local market with high-quality greenhouses, it aims at the markets of Europe, Scandinavia, North America.

We are open to proposals from foreign partners.

On our end, we are ready to provide you with:

1. High-quality greenhouses for private and business sectors. Due to the fact that large parts are pre-assembled from the factory, it takes only 4-8 hours to connect them and easily assemble Ecoslider greenhouse on-site. 

2. Innovative vertical farms for year-round cultivation of greens on aeroponics.

The way we work with our partners

Each of our partners communicates with a personal manager who:

• Negotiates and agrees terms of cooperation.

• Accepts an order for a certain number of greenhouses and their type.

• Coordinates documentation.

• Controls the loading of greenhouses for sending to the addressee.

• Provides information support in case of questions from a partner or end customer.

We value our distributors and assist them with the questions that may arise including obtaining information about products and their operation.
